WAKING THE FOREST
NOTES FROM THE UNDERGROWTH

There is a whole world
beneath our feet.

After Rain is a small, living diorama. A place to slow down and notice the things we usually walk past.

  1. Carry a little light. Move the pointer, or tap to place your light. Watch a soft glow travel through the moss. Keyboard explorers can use the arrow keys.
  2. Release the drop. Touch the large leaf, or choose “Release the drop”. A single bead gathers, runs down the blade and falls into the pool.
  3. Look around. Drag with the mouse or one finger to orbit. Hold Shift while dragging, use the right mouse button, or slide two fingers to move the view sideways. Scroll up or pinch outward to come closer; reverse to step back. Keyboard: Shift + arrows to orbit, Alt + arrows to pan, + / − to zoom. Reset view or Esc puts everything back.
  4. Meet your neighbour. A snail is exploring the old bark. Move close and it will draw back. Give it a moment. The close-up stays open while you explore; use the compass or Reset view to leave it.
  5. Look again. Tap the lake for travelling rings, scroll or pinch to zoom, and use the compass button for two closer camera angles.

Scroll or pinch to look closer. Use the compass or “Reset view” to change the view.
Sound is optional. Reduced motion follows your device settings.
